Upper Secondary School
Upper secondary education is free and non-compulsory. The municipal is required to offer upper secondary education to all pupils who have completed compulsory school.
In Vellinge municipality there is one upper secondary school: Sundsgymnasiet. You may also choose to attend upper secondary school, municipal or independent, in another municipality.

Regardless if you want to attend Sundsgymnasiet or an upper secondary school in another municipality you must apply using the web-based tool Dexter (in Swedish).

School Transport
Pupils attending Sundsgymnasiet and whose home is located more than 6 kilometre from the school will be given a student bus card making them eligible for free public transport with Skånetrafiken. Bus cards will also be made available to pupils attending upper secondary school in another municipality.
